BASICS
These Addons should be downloaded before you even start playing:
1. Hekili
Simply teaches you your ROTATION for DPSing on any class, telling you what ability to use and when in real time.
2. Azeroth Auto Pilot
Leveling can be a little confusing however this Addon will tell you which quests to do or skip to level the faster, showing you where to pick them up and turn them in.
3. Pawn
Will tell you which pieces of gear are better for your character depending on your spec.

LATE GAME CONTENT
When you reach max level or as you start to feel more confident with the game these are the Addons you must have to be as efficient as possible.
1. Deadly Boss Mods (DBM)
Warns you about dungeon and raid mechanics, for example, telling you to dodge certain things or soak others.
PLEASE NOTE: Most raiding teams require you to have an addon like this to raid with them as without it, you will highly likely die to mechanics in new content.

2. WeakAuras
Indicates buffs, debuffs, cooldowns, this helps will resource management (Health/Mana), you can find class specific templates on the WeakAuras website.

3. Details
A damage/healing meter Addon, with advanced features such as showing Dispels, who pulled threat etc.

4. World Quest Tracker
To be efficient with World Quests will addon is needed telling you what World Quests are where, instead of you having to travel and find out yourself (it’ll save you so much time on flying backwards and forwards)

5. GTFO
Does one thing, barks at you when you’re standing in something dangerous.
UI ADDONS
The reason why UI has a section for its own is because not only is it really important, but it isn’t as black and white as the other Addons when it comes to which ones you should pick, it depends on what you feel helps and what you’re comfortable with, however I would give all of them a look just to make sure that you don’t miss out on anything.
We’ve split this into 2 sections simple and advanced, you can play the game perfect fine with both but you’ll have more control when customising your UI
Simple:
UI Addon | Description |
Bartender4 | A action bar changer, allowing you change the size of buttons or bars also the orientation. |
Advance:
UI Addon | Description |
ElvUI | This will drastically change your UI, however it will give you more control on how you want your interface to be tailored. Not only does it allow you to change fonts, sizes of frames, colour schemes. This addon also included a bag management tool, which if you use the other UIs you’ll have to use a separate addon. Don’t be overwhelmed by it, as there are lots of guides out there you help you make it the way you want it. |
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
These Addons won’t affect how powerful your character is but they will help you in the day to day things.
1. Gatherer
Shows the location of mining, herbalism and treasure locations on your minimap just so you don’t have to hunt for them.

2. Bagnon
Replaces the separate bag windows with one large inventory window. To help finding items easier.

3. Altoholic
Allows you to manage your alt characters better for example telling you how many Honor marks you have across all of you characters rather then you having to go through each on and remembering.

4. Auctionator
Makes it so much quicker and easier to make a profit on the Auction House, because time is money.

5. Healbot
Perfect for healers, who want to use left and right click to heal whilst also making your frames easier to see health bars.
